BARTZ - Harris H.
Age 73, of North Tonawanda, July 24, 2022, in the VA Medical Center after a brief illness. Harris served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years. He was a past Commander of VFW Crosby Post #2472, a past Erie County VFW Commander and a past District VFW Commander. He was a member of the Tonawanda Veterans Club and the Military Order of the Cooties. After retiring from the military, he enjoyed teaching kids to drive while working for the AAA. Beloved husband of Jennifer (Innes) Bartz. Dear father of Charles (Loretta) Bartz, Kattie Blume, Jason (Kelliann) Bartz, Derek (Amanda) Bessey, and Gabrielle (Justin) Smith. Grandfather of Mariah, Lafe, Colton, Levi, Tinsley, Emmett, and Mia. Brother of Amy (late Max) Schaefer, the late Judith Peterson. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda, on Friday from 2-8 PM, and at First Trinity Lutheran Church, 1570 Niagara Falls Blvd., in Tonawanda, on Saturday from 10:00 - 10:30 AM, funeral services will begin at First Trinity at 11:00 AM.
